I love my family
Nov. 4th, 2022 06:48 pm Hubby left in a hurry at 12:15. DiL number two had just called him that she would be too late to pick her son up at kindergarten. Oh yes, heavy rain on Friday always causes jam in town- this she should know by now, and maybe call a bit earlier, because we do not own a helicopter. Hubby made it just in time, brought Cassian to their house and waited in the car for the mother to appear. She did so at a quarter past one, and only then hubby got to know that son number two was at home, because he was sick, too. Cassian is very good at spreading his germs, so it seams! And DiL is very forgetful, not telling hubby that he should deliver her son to her ailing husband.
Then there´s son number four, who will snow in today- but not, as expected, in the early evening but at half past nine. Poor hubby will miss the ending of the daily crime thriller, because he is the one who will have to pick our offspring up at the trainstation. I might be in bed already. In addition to coughing and sneezing (both better already) I got a conjunctivitis now. All bad things apparently come in threes, I think I have reached my expiry date! Fridge is full with things number four won´t eat- cold cuts, bacon, cheese, spreads... The only thing son needs a fridge for is iced tea, so poor guy will have to eat what´s left of lunch for dinner. A sure sign that number four is at our house is the constant droning of the micro wave. No one ever uses the microwave but him, to warm up leftovers. Unfortunately our kitchen is located under the bedroom, and the microwave is exactly beneath my half of the bed- I swear I am able to feel the vibrations, when it´s on!
Though my eyes are red and puffy, I pulled myself together and continued project Cardigan by sewing the pieces up and darning lots of threads in, which unfortunately is only half of what needs to be darned in. But it´s a progress, it was such a gloomy day anyway, that I am proud of myself at what I have accomplished. Tomorrow weather will be not as bad as today, though temperatures might stay down at five degrees. And from the day after tomorrow on we will be back to fifteen degrees and more. Well, the warmer the temperatures, the less gas we will need for heating. Whether Mother Nature will be delighted about spring in late autumn is a different kettle of fish...
