(no subject)

 First day of my new schedule, and already I failed spectacularly. I did get up earlier, made coffee, put toast in the toaster- and blew the whole thing up. Blue flame, no power in the house... Hubby told me to try again, yupp, it was indeed the toaster! While hubby drove to Media Markt to buy a new one, I braved the kitchen then sat down in the studio and darned in most of the threads on the second cardigan. Only a few more left for tomorrow... Then came thirty minutes of cross stitching, Christmas dwarf's second boot is finished now. Looks very impressive, two tiny boots amidst a sea of beige brown linen... Since I intended to do an easy recipe with potatoes for lunch, I was in no hurry, so I did a swift cleaning of the studio- and promptly found daughter's cardigan, which had been gnawed at by her washing machine, so that the cuff of one sleeve got torn off. I was supposed to do repair work on it, if possible. For the rest of the time with natural light I cut off finely knitted parts of both sleeves - it's at least ten stitches per centimetre- and began to catch all stitches with sewing yarn, while doing lunch at the same time. Meanwhile husband mine was doing repair work on the trailer. That thing was in need of a new connector. Hubby had bought one and tried for a very long time to install it- a hard job, when the one who had built the trailer did not use standard wires. Okay, the wires were standard, but they had the wrong colours. It won´t work that if you turn on the winker, the breaklights will flash up! And there had been more than four wires! Needless to say that hubby sat in the cold for a very long time, and I had to come out to look at the outcome every ten minutes! Hopefully he did not catch a cold he might transfer to me!
Tomorrow a friend will show up (the one who loves to spread glitter over every surface), and we will start project clothespin star. Tomorrow will be dismembering-of-the-pins day, and hopefully we will be able to glue them together one way or another. I definitely won´t use my hot glue gun, I love my fingers! And I just got a call from hubby, who is on the way to a concert, that Cassian will show up tomorrow after kindergarten, to stay with us until the next day. Huzzah! New germs on the way! I so love it!
