There might be snow...
It has been a cool, dark day. No sun, no winds, no precipitation, only fog and gloominess. I did not set a foot in front of the door. Days like these are definitely depressing! And tomorrow weather might get even more "interesting"- there might be snow looming. The rest of our country already got a first taste of it two weeks ago, not so here. I hate snow, even though its white makes the whole mess left by late autumn brighter.
In the morning I had a long talk on the phone with a former student, who would have loved to do a visit, alas, she works in the company of her father, and at the moment almost half of the workmen there are sick- covid, influenca and colds mostly. She herself is sneezing already, so we postponed her visit. Maybe next time she will be able to bring her mother with her, I quite like this lady, she's so funny!
Hubby insisted on doing spaghetti with shrimps for lunch, because we have such a lot of them in the freezer. Don't get me wrong, I love shrimps, but having a cross allergy makes my stomach a tad queasy when eating them!
Last night was a bad night, me having to get up four times because of cramps in the legs, in both of them. Wandering around during night is definitely no fun! Must be, because I have been mostly sitting in front of the pillow case, stitching along! I did the same today, but I will do better tomorrow, I swear! I have never been a sportive person, but corona killed the rest of my need for movement, which isn't good at all!
Another string of lights just died on me outside. I definitely will have to shop for new ones, even though husband dearest has put our household on strict power diet. But the best way to prevent thieves from trying to get into your house is brightening it with light, so that neighbours can watch any thievish activities. At the moment housebreaker activity concentrates around dusk, when a lot of people are still at work. Well, not here, too many pensioners around, though sadly way less Christmas lights are fighting off thieves and the early darkness of December!
Hubby is still watching football the moment it appears on the TV screen. Maybe if Germany does not make it into the next round (I do not even know why he favours this team) he will cut back on TV time. Would do the power diet some good...
