Well, that went fast
Dec. 13th, 2022 07:55 pmFrom Sunday to today at ten in the evening. Since aunt Lil will have shift on Sunday, son decided to go to the restaurant today- without aunt, who is in Kufstein today for courses at the college. Lil said she will not mind as long as she gets a slice of the birthday cake tomorrow, when she will come to pick her winter boots up. She won't need those for long, it's going to rain tomorrow, and from then on we will be back to not-wintry weather. And there'd indeed been people who believed in a white Christmas this year!
Husband mine was off in search of a replacement of the dripping venting valve from morning to lunchtime. No such luck, though he had been in quite a many shops. He found one in the least likely place- a run-down DIY market, where the staff had forgotten to sort the item out. All is well again now...
I did two batches of cookies today- Vanillekipferl and Gewürzkekse (no clue how to translate this into English). Both taste fine but not overwhelming so- I am not a big lover of sweet things...
The second front part of the cardigan is finished, now it's all about seaming up and darning in :(( Cardigan will be ready for Christmas , but my nerves might be a bit raw then!
Oh, I forgot to tell that my first chore of the day was wiping the bathroom floor- at four in the morning. Lady Vaire, almost blind now, had jumped straight into her water bowl. I noticed her being wet all over. Since cats seldom take showers, I searched for the culprit and found it on the floor next to the basin. What I did not find at first was the flor mop...
