(no subject)

 Two more batches of cookies done this morning. Now I need a cookie recipe with lemons, and then I´m done for the season. I am up to ten sorts now, that´s a lot for someone who does not even like cookies except for one or two going with the daily coffees! My lemon trees may be relatively small, but there are at least twenty fruits on them ready for harvesting. It's strange- those trees begin to flower, when I put them into the conservatory. Those flowers turn into lemons, which need a whole year to ripen, while the trees kick off all other buds they produce during the year. Aren't lemon trees supposed to produce fruits all throughout the year? I water and fertilise them regularely! Picky plants they are...
I stayed at home today, to avoid driving in the freezing rain that had been forecasted. It did neither rain nor snow all day long, only now it has began to rain. Poor drivers on the streets covered with black ice! Staying at home today means that tomorrow I will have to do a trip to the post office and to the shop, to buy a new puzzle magazine. Daughter will be here on Friday and Saturday for her early shifts, and we always do crossword puzzles then when she is rested again.
I am not sure if our heating works correctly, or if hubby has to re-adjust heating times. It´s too cold in the upper rooms, since he has done repair work in number four´s room. I have activated the infrared heating while typing this entry, because I definitely won´t freeze my butt off while being upstairs! In a little while I will join husband in front of the TV anyway, to watch the second football semi-final...
