Tears of joy...
Jan. 4th, 2023 08:04 pm...when I was finally able to finish the cutting of onions- spring onions- leeks- garlic for today's potato soup. I think I cried husband mine a river, and not even eyedrops helped with soothing my sore eyes afterwards. Next time I will either put in contact lenses or let hubby do the job! Absolutely not funny, eyes are still red and puffy, and it's evening already...
I started to declutter another cabinet. The things that I found, for example the cordless phone hubby had bought a long time ago, when the old one was still okay and he did not want to install the new one. That's excellent, because the old one doesn't work properly for two years at least. New old phone is installed, pencils and biros in new boxes, there's a whole section for coloured pencils for our grandchildren. Wastebin is overflowing, and I blame it on our dailies, who tell us to unclutter household and habits, since 2023 has started. One of hubby's friends did another kind of decluttering- he kicked his wife out of the house. Wife is still welcome in our
house, while he is not. Serves him well. Men can be such idiots!
Since I spent most of last night with reading, I took a rest after lunch and watched some vlogs on YT. I love those hordes of bearded young men, who clear their way through the 'virginal' snow with snow shoes ( there's always one take, where you can see the traces they left in the snow, when the guys had been searching for the best place to position the camera), jump over tree stumps to finally get to some off grid shelter, where they all start chopping firewood like lunatics, do scrambled eggs with bacon and freeze their a... off during the following night, but only after having proudly presented the labels of their gear. And there are so many of them- does this 'job' truly pay off? Because if yes, I might consider doing my own vlog- learn how to knit and cuss in one go. Definitely haven't seen such a vlog on YT until now. I think I've found a market niche! Yay!
