Tooth and neck are hurting less today, and I wondrously forgot to sniffle and cough through the night- I must be on the way to mending, or I am running out of ammuntion. Son and geriatric cat spent the night in son's bed. Now number four is off, back to work, back to what he calls studying. Cat is not amused and does even more trekking in search of the one who had been taking care of her so well for five days in a row. Vaire needs to be cuddled, because that's the only thing that makes her happy. Being blind and deaf must be the horror...
I have cleansed the two big glass jars on the planting table next to the entrance door- the ones with the tiny fir trees inside that live in big metal buckets now together with their fellow species- and wanted to put some decoration into them: mostly natural materials, as you can find examples on Pinterest. Alas, the weather is horrible today- strong winds, heavy rain, and it's way colder than the days before. No weather made for a walk to gather materials. I need twigs, I need moss, I'd like to dig out some daisies, to pot them in the jar, but I definitely do not need another cold. So we wait. Maybe tomorrow will be a better day for my project. But today´s bad weather also means that those few carnival processions planned for today won´t see too many viewers, which is sad. Bad enough that people here lack the humour of other Europeans- there´s a saying that we go down into the cellar to laugh, which means that we are completely humourless. Apparently we are meant to stay this way on orders from above...
