Hubby on the learning curve
Mar. 5th, 2023 04:35 pm I did the moussaka hubby had bought yesterday for today´s lunch- and it was awful, just the way I have assumed. Husband and I shared the content of one package, the second one we kept for daoghter mine, who will show up in the late afternoon. Poor aunt Lil! Hubby promised to never again bring home prefabricated food from Lidl- you simply can´t eat that crap! If he had told me he wanted moussaka I would have made some, with more potatoes (I had three slices in my serving) and less foamy sauce, and with spices at that!
Since it´s cold and grey today, nothing got done in the garden. Eveb catkins and twigs are still waiting to get brought inside for more Easter decoration. Since Vaire cat does nothing but sleep all day long, decoration will be safe this year. Though I´d love to have back the Vaire cat of old, when we had to pick up the plastic eggs she brought down from the catkins almost daily! Well, it cannot be helped...
Currently I am working through the third round of runny nose (allergy maybe?) and chances are that I will pick up new germs tomorrow. At least Elsa is no more stricken with the runs, otherwise DiL number two would kill me, if Cassian picked it up, too! She was distraught enough about her precious son having picked up hand, foot and mouth disease the last time we were visiting! Since Cassian is in Kindergarten himself, he has completed two more rounds of the disease, because there are lots of viruses that can trigger this sickness!
Hubby wants us to have a picknick in the parking lot of the motorway on our way to St. Pölten. I want a proper snack stop in a restaurant. There might be snow tomorrow, so who wants to freeze in the car, or even worse, on a bench outside! I think I will go and confiscate all pocketknives and the like, practically all those gadgets a true scout will carry along in his knapsack...
