Daughter is off, son is off- I am back to everyday life. In the morning hubby and I got up early, because the birds outside started their courtship at half past five- at top volume! Neighbour's fir tree is a hotspot for warbling males in search of a partner. Believe me, their songs will wake you even if the windows are still closed during night! Sad thing is that even more birds got killed last week when doing a crash into the windows of the conservatory. I now have a box which I put over the bird, to prevent cats from having a snack, in case birds are still alive. We'll see the outcome when we lift the box some time later.
After breakfast I went through the content of our bathroom cabinet. Oh dear, the things I found! It's half empty now, and hubby will have to bring the bag with drugs and toiletries to the recycling yard soonest. I also found a jar with goat milk powder I had once bought for cats needing some cockering up. Makes a really nice bodywash, if your skin feels itchy. The only problem is that it smells like goat milk, so you will run around smelly for a while. But, as I said, no more itchy patches of skin!
Daughter is not amused. Not only that she has more lectures this term, but almost all readers decided to do them in the lecture halls instead of doing them online. Daughter decided against a room near the college but rented a flat in Salzburg. Now she has to get up at six in the morning four times a week, to get the train which brings her to college. And I will invest in another Klimaticket, which will cost about 830 Euro. But what wouldn´t I do for my offspring...
