Hubby and I did the pre-Easter food run this morning. Well, I did run (sort of), and hubby did walk with a distinct limp- gout, again. For lunch we had king oyster mushrooms and chicken breast in lemon sauce, with bread to dip instead of rice. Then hubby was off to sister, who had arrived at her flat this day for a meeting with an energy adviser. Once again hubby had forgotten to tell me about this and was kind of astonished when I put his belongings back to his own car- I needed mine in the afternoon. So no more insulating boards for the attic got shopped today. Yet my trip to Salzburg got cut short- when I came out of the first shop and watched the spectacle outside, I decided that I´d better go home and look if all that rain made it into the cellar. Parts of the state road were flooded, the tiny stream next to the road already coming out of its bed. But we were lucky- hubby´s precautionary measures were a success- with rain that hard water often made it into our cellar. Even the conservatory got spared, only under the roof hatch were a few patches of wetness. Yet I think that almost all of our skylight windows are in for replacement, it can´t be helped!
Still no Easter present for Oscar- Pokemon cards are hard to get these days. Hubby will set out in search of them tomorrow. But first- flea market! Bring four boxes of odds and ends, come back with new stuff, that´s the spirit! When hubby is off I will try to relocate my computer desk. Complicated work, definitely not made for hubby. Not because he won´t do hard work, but this has to be done carefully, or the cables will get loose, which I dread already. Number four and five will reappear only at Easter and won´t be of help, and hubby loves to create chaos then will make himself scarce. And I am a lemon when it comes to electrical matters. We will see, if it´s going nicely or not. Otherwise I might have to type my entries on my mobile, or not at all. Three more months with daily entries, then covid as a pandemic should be history. No more pandemic would be nice...
