We have re-activated gas heating. It´s two degrees, and you can watch snowflakes drifting down now and then. Temperatures might go down to minus five during night, which would put an end to harvesting fruits this year. I still hope it won´t be that bad, but you never can be sure- as soon as it´s clearing up there will be frost. I made a mistake and went into the garden to check on the strawberries. I can tell you, you´d have to be an elf to walk over the grass without sinking in. It has been raining so hard for days, the ground is soaked all through! My shoes will have to go into the washing machine!
Hubby was off in the morning, yet I did not continue with the studio but went to the conservatory to finish the jigsaw puzzle instead. My arms still hurt after dragging around furniture! Turned out that I won´t be able to finish the puzzle, because one piece is missing. I have been searching the conservatory, looking under tables, chairs and pillows- not a chance!
Hubby brought ramson, so ramson patties with Gorgonzola sauce it was for lunch. I love Gorgonzola, ransom not so much, but hubby loves everything green except for the Green party. After lunch I took off for a visit to a friend. Hubby was on pins and needles, when I finally came back. Poor man needed my car to pick up a second-hand kiddie kitchen Dil had bought for her offspring! That´s what you get when you ignore requirement for snow tires (ends at April 15th) and the streets are slippery (that´s what we have at the moment). Maybe he should have told me about his plans earlier?
After a night with very disturbing dreams (abducted children, a Halloween scenario in the woods with lots of plastic skeletons and me having to resume my old job) I am even more tired than usual. It´s about time that spring will finally win out against winter, and my springtime fatigue will say bye-bye! The tomato seedlings in the conservatory did sprout but won´t grow any bigger, and the chillies did not sprout at all! I will have to ask number three to bring seedlings from Fireland - nomen est omen - when he comes for a visit the week after Easter!
