Apr. 14th, 2023 04:30 pm Cassian slept until 7.30 in the morning, a thing he never does at home. Maybe DiL should drop the boy´s after-lunch nap and let him rest only, as I did by giving him his favourite books to look at and be quiet otherwise for a while. It worked, he went to bed at his usual bedtime at seven, was allowed to watch a video clip on my PC for ten minutes and fell asleep immediately. He woke only once and played with his flashlight for a few minutes, before he continued with sleeping. I did not even notice but slept like a log until morning. When I woke, I saw this:

It´s more rain than snow now, but still! Who needs snow in the middle of April, it´s not that we live up the mountains!
Family number three will show up at our house tomorrow morning. That was the original plan. If they will show up at all, because at the moment their patio is partially under water. Son was back from college at midday and wanted to try to relocate his palm trees, which were having a very cold foot bath, a thing palm trees aren´t fond of. Son just told me that they are pumping the water into the nearby river now, and that they want to come by train tomorrow, which means that I will have to pick them up at ten in the morning and bring them back to the train station Sunday afternoon. Means also that there will be no Romanian Easter lunch-dinner for me, but lots of cooking to do myself tomorrow and Sunday:( Now I will have to sit down and wait out which plans will come next...
I miss having a cat. Samsung did his best to help out, when we were visiting family number two on Thursday. First, he bit my finger, but gentler than usual, and only because I had stopped petting him. Then he came for more snuggles, and the rest of our visit he spent under the dining table, effectively immobilising my feet by lying on them. If I will get us another cat, it will be in autumn only. It's still a big if, but no more a definite no...
