Same place, one day later
Jun. 5th, 2023 07:14 pm ... at four o'clock, same time as yesterday, I took this picture. Still wondering about the strange light in the clouds- can't be the oncoming sunlight, because it had been drizzling when I arrived back home. Besides, sun rise was at 5:12, the picture got taken at four, and East is to the right...

Today was a cool day with rain from midday on. We were all lazy and tired, and, most of all, demotivated to do anything of value. Please note: Doing housework is definitely no a work of value, so neither hubby nor I did more than clean the table after the meals and fill the dishwasher. My cold got worse, now I am coughing too, and coughing is worse than sneezing, if you have asthma! I almost gave up on Elsa's top. But then son decided he'd leave tomorrow, to do a bit of studying, and I'd not be so occupied with cooking and talking and generally being downststairs instead of knitting in the studio. I started the top at ten in the morning with a different count of stitches and new knitting needles, which was quite unfortunate, because I am used to circular knitting needles. The ones I have now are flex needles with their fexible ends always coiling around my wrists or the yarn or whatever they decide to coil around. And I drop the left one at each end of a row, forgetting that it's not a circular needle. So knit- drop-bend down-pick needle up- repeat it is. This way my back will not play along for long! But I have two thirds of the front part ready now and will start with the back tomorrow. By then I might know how to continue with the upper third! All I know- no sleeves!
In the afternoon I had a look at the online edition of our dailies. You know what a banana republic is? Well, I am living in one. You just have to follow the story about the election of the leader of the Socialist Party...
