Air con to the rescue!

 Me asking hubby during the football game:'Do you think we will get another thunderstorm during night? Because then I'd have to bring in swimsuits and towels!' 'Definitely not! Not a single cloud to be seen!' Aha... At 0:30 I got woken by loud clashes of thunder and strong winds. I dashed down to save what was out ťhen went back to bed and listened to the falling rain. At some point I decided that I´d better close the dormer window. On the way I felt the wet floor under my feet- rain had made it already into the studio. I mopped up floor and windowsill with a towel, all in the dark, because husband mine slept like a log and I did not want to wake him. He snored all night ling, while I tossed and turned in bed. First thing hubby told me in the morning was how bad his sleep had been. Grrr...
Air con hasn't been running until today, because in the early morning repair work got finally done. Our serviceman came and left without us even noticing. He knows the way into the garden well, has been there often enough. Good that the darn thing is now ready for cooling- we were up to 27 degrees in the living room and 28 in the bedroom yesterday evening. Not a good idea to open windows and doors, when temperature outside is 28 in the evening, and not a bit of wind that will help cool down. Bad combo indeed...
Today we have Cassian for an overnight stay. Boy is floored: He was allowed to sit in the excavator and help digging, before that darn thing got transported away, he had icecream, he had Mohnstrudel done by a Turkish baker (was okay but needed more sugar), and for dinner he had bacon stripes with Turkish bread. And kompott. His mother would have a meltdown if she knew about this. All that eating and swimming and eating without a nap after lunh made my grandson drowsy. At six he wanted to go to bed. Well, he will have to wait. Six was the time when I turned the air con on. It will take at least one hour to cool bedroom-studio down- time enough for Cassian to recuperate...
