Air con did a lot of rescue work last evening. When I went to bed, temperature was down to 22 degrees in the bedroom. Unfortunately I had to turn my lifesaver off when going to bed, because lifesaver would turn into a cold-maker otherwise, when one will get blown onto all night long. When hubby came to bed just before midnight, we were back to 27 and no thunderstorm in sight. Only a slight breeze that came through the windows wide open made sleeping bearable. Slight breeze turned into wind-rattling-the-blinds at some point, and finally thunderstorm was here, bringing huge amounts of rain and cooler temperatures. But what nature needs is more rain, one downpour, even one of epic proportions, is definitely not enough to make up for so many days without noteworthy rainfall!
Hubby was off today at ten for a tour de SmythsToys together with Xaver. Unbelievable, but that boy is turning five already on Monday! Xaver will be here for lunch also, which makes things complicated, because he has the habit of eating next to nothing. Well, we'll see, McDonalds is not that far away... Turned out that he loves fish fingers with mashed potatoes, so no problem at all!
In the afternoon daughter mine was back again for doing crossword puzzles and sudokus, having dinner done by papa
and most of all for another overnight stay in her old room because of next early shift, but one hour later this time. Means I will be to bed early, enjoying today's coolness of the bedroom and catching up on sleep. Last night I had strange dreams, but I only remember the last one, when I had been dreaming about me watching a report about ecological activists, who were considered trodons. That trodon did wake me, because all of a sudden I found myself holding my mobile for googling that word. It´s not the first time I found myself holding my mobile in hand when I should officially be in Morpheus´s arms and not able to remember how it got there. I googled and found one dinosaur called Troodon. And an opioid called Trodon. Both did not match ecological activists. At least I was wide awake then to rejoice over the falling temperatures in the bedroom. Took a walk to the loo then, because there aren't many options for activities at five in the morning. Took a look out of the window afterwards and found idiot neighbour watering the lawn with a watering can...after a downpour of epic proportions! They must have sucked off the last functioning parts of this one's brain during his stay in sanatorium. Great, more stuff for nightmares! Trodon, I hate you!
