Oh no, not again!
Jun. 28th, 2023 06:13 pm Despite the hot summer a lot of regions have experienced last year, ours had been quite an ordinary one. A few hot days, one! tropical night only instead of the eight we usually have, maybe a bit less rain than normal. The air con got turned on only during a few evenings. No wonder, seven sleepers day had harbingered it. It´s a rather precise way to size up what sort of weather we will get during the next seven weeks in the region I live. Yesterday we had seven sleepers day again. The hot summer weather had evaporated already and gave way to a rather unpredictable one. And on the day itself it has been cool and very wet. Today it´s the same, which does not bode well for this year´s summer. It´s not that I need it hot, but cold temperatures in summer are even worse!
Cassian woke us at six o´clock in the morning, came into our bed and slept one more hour. Poor dad would be so envious if we told him!
I so love the young one´s sayings! For instance: Cassian loves to go to kindergarten. But yesterday he got his hands on my children's old Lego, hence he told hubby that 'he'd be inclined to amend the situation and stay at our house for another day´- to be able to do more Lego constructing. Hubby told him that he'd definitely have to leave, and he answered with a resigned 'Well, if I must...'.
In the evening he asked me a 'technical' question: If I knitted all night long, would the jumper be finished in the morning? Definitely not! And if I'd be inclined to exchange the whale for an octopus? The whale should go to Elsa instead, whose father's name is Jonah, way more fitting for a whale. I had a hard time to stop laughing. That boy really is a hit! And I spent the rest of the morning trying to sketch an octopus that would fit onto the jumper...
Oscar has another music lesson this afternoon, and hubby has to bring him there, because Xaver is still sick. Because Xaver is sick, DiL is so confused that she has forgotten to send me the list with the items she needs from German shops. Hmm... might be that I have to postpone my shopping trip to next week. No list means that I won´t go tomorrow, on Friday I will have other errands to do, and at the weekend it´s a trip to Graz to visit number four. It´s Dil who is in dire need of some things, I can wait! That´s the advantage of being retired- plenty of time to kill off!
