Hot again...
Jun. 25th, 2023 05:56 pm ...yet husband mine mowed the lawn in the morning and did fertilise it afterwards. During the last week we found some strange new weed take command of the green not so lush anymore because of not enough rain. No clue which sort of weed it is, but I think we never had it before. It stands out like a sore thumb because of its light green colour and is best seen from above aka our bedroom window, and the way it spreads is impressive. It started along the vet´s garden fence, non-existant for a week or so to finally get replaced by a brand-new one, conquered this part of our front lawn and is now fighting its way to the back of the house. It´s no imagination of my part, husband mine saw it, too. Front lawn up to the tiled way to the house is riddled with the new weeds, there´s less to the left side and next to nothing on the conservatory front, but numbers are growing there, too. It´s as if someone had accidentally set free a load of unwanted seeds. Hubby thinks he can prevail by mowing and lots of lawn fertiliser, but we will see...
No pool day for me today, because first I was searching for my bathing suit, did not find it, did a simple lunch then (brusquetta with salad), had a nap on the terrace, did a bit of knitting, and when I felt hot enough to continue my search I remembered that I had put it into the laundry, but hubby thought it could wait for the next wash cycle, which will be tomorrow. Tomorrow is not a day for frolicking in the pool anyway, but you can bet your life on it, Tuesday morning I will be off to buy a new bahing suit. And maybe one more in reserve, for you never can tell what hubby will think worth washing. Washing is husband´s domain, since he insisted that our washing machine had to be in the rearmost room of the cellar instead of the upper bathoom. Want it there? Then drag the load of wet laundry up to the ground-floor. I will hand it up then. It´s so easy, isn´t it?
