Oh that boy

 

Since my English turned from bad to really, really bad, I decided to do no more daily reports but pick those things out that are noteworthy to me. Today it was a video call grandchild number four (the one that had stood in front of closed doors the day before) had initiated. Cassian wanted to know if the additions to his police force had arrived. And he wanted to know, if his father would allow him to take them home, which elicited a loud ´no´ from somewhere in the room. Cassian pondered his father´s answer then asked ´Grandma, you always tell me that I will become wiser when older. Does this count for papa, too?´ I heard very loud snorts coming from the background, while I myself exploded with laughter. That boy is a hoot!
BTW, one reason why we did the trip to Graz was that son´s vacuum cleaner did not work anymore. Since hubby avoids to dump old gadgets he found an old one in our cellar, brought it to son, and we returned with the broken one, which got immediately tested this morning- no suction power, indeed. Hubby ran for his compressor and cleaned the first strainer, which turned out cleaned by son. Then he took out the second one- we are still chasing the dirt that came out of this one. Lection for son: Always clean both filters! Lection for hubby: Never clean a dirty filter inside the house!
