...for doing anything involving additional sweating, but I loved it. No visits from family, the only guests we got were number one's tiny chilli plants, which must have led a sad life until now. Not sure if all of them will be alive when son is back from vacation. He should have repotted them long ago. And no, it's not my job to do his work! Want chillis? Then take care of them! Other than doing a short visit to number one both hubby and I did absolutely nothing except for cooling down in the pool water. I for my part did enjoy the silence, not so sure about husband mine, who apparently misses the ruckus grandchildren make when swarming all over the place! But for the first time we were able to endulge in icecream without small ones eating half of ours and their own. Why are children so much quicker with devouring the cold delicacy? Best part of being child-free was that I did a lot of knitting, even though we were up to 37 in the afternoon. How is this possible, when I have bemoaned that knitting is a pest when it's hot? Today's heat was mostly because we had foehn, which means there has been a hot wind blowing from early morning on, but the air was very dry, which was a blessing. Then there's the new huge sun umbrella hubby has bought as a substitution for the old one. In combination with the awning terrace got shaded all day long. And then there's the pool for cooling down, of course- I spent my after-lunch nap in the water, dozing on my inflatable pool chair. Lucky me that I did not forget about the sun spray!
