A lot more trees had been cut down today, while hubby was at number two´s abode to help with the start of the renovation of the last bathroom. Almost slayed Samsung with a piece of wood he sent flying through the window- that cat is way too curious! The slope next to our house looks awful now! Try this stunt with a tree in your own garden- the police will ring at your door at the drop of a hat, because a) birds and other animals might live in your tree b) it's still breeding time for birds. Apparently no birds did live or breed or both in those trees up the hill!
No complicated cooking got done today. We had two food items- ham and cheese, the latter a victim of hubby´s frantic efforts to get into the pool as fast as possible after grocery shopping- which had to go today, so I did Wurstfleckerl. At temperatures over thirty no cheese will survive in the boot more than two days! Then hubby napped on the couch in the living room while I did the same on a chair on the terrace. Well, hello, it was hot, and this day we dedicated to laziness (again), at least from midday on! At three hubby served coffee and cake. Plus he asked me what my radar did tell me about oncoming weather. Thunderstorm around eight in the evening sounded good, but now I was curious. Why did hubby ask about the weather? He pointed to the right- pitch-dark clouds had just made it over the mountain. Knowing the weather quite well now we quickly brought everything into the house and closed all windows- storm, hail, heavy rain- and finally cooler temperatures. A lot more frogs will drown in the pool on their way to the biotope. Today hubby fished 21 frogs out of the pool water, most of them dead. Absolutely not funny, but those tiny hoppers mistake the water for humans with the one at the back of the house, which is frog-only!
