Perfect chaos
Jul. 29th, 2023 06:03 pm Hubby was off in the morning, doing last grocery shopping for our visitors- family number three is famous for its appetite. At eleven in the morning number three called. They will come two days later- weather at their home is hot and sunny until Tuesday while here it is oppressive and rainy. Half an hour later daughter called and told me she will be taken to tomorrow's early shift by her colleague, who lives nearby, but will need maxi at the 4th of August instead. Splendid! Now we have two early shifts were daughter and I will tiptoe around when getting ready for departure. And Matthäus will start his nightly howling anew at the sound of our coffee machine grinding coffee, but there's no driving at three in the morning without coffee, sorry but so not sorry, little man! Hubby went straight into the cellar to evacuate and freeze the meat he had bought. I think he is even more miffed than I am!
From Tuesday on I might be barely online. Less sleep during night, up early, because no one can stay asleep as soon Elsa is up (I only say loud-louder-loudest) plus a lot more housework and cooking to do is a bad, bad combination! I fear I will be dead when prime time programme will start! That´s the worst part of the day anyway, when DiL will act as the Spanish inquisition: What have you done since we last met (nothing), when do you go on holidays (not at all, because renovation work is lasting all August, then there´s a church wedding to survive, where you have invited my personal nightmare aka hubby´s brother-in-law), why is hubby working at number two´s house (bet you hadn´t asked this question when husband mine had helped with the demolition of the old house you inherited), how is aunt Lil (go ask her yourself, you will see her tomorrow night), what does number four do now (that I´d like to know myself) and and... DiL is very nosy, and my head always hurts when she finally disappears in the guestroom. But I discovered ways to lull her, at least a bit: Give her red wine and honeyed nuts, this will keep her busy for a while...
At the moment we have a fabulous thunderstorm with hail even. Has it really been one and a half day without thunder and lightning? Hubby is readying the pool pump. Too much water from above again...
