German fair food

 Seems that husband mine thinks that two people are not people enough in a household. Today he drove to number two to install the new dryer- and came back for lunch with son in tow. Good that I had not yet chopped the champignons for creamy sauce with miso, because hubby wanted to have them breaded. So I took the mushrooms and put them into his care. I do not do breaded mushrooms. And by this I mean that I neither do them nor eat them. It´s ridiculous, I know, but my children plus hubby and I got food poisoning by eating breaded champignons gone bad at a fair. Five people vomitting for three days- nope, never ever. Hubby is less resentful- he did indeed fry the mushrooms. And since he did not have breadcrumbs enough he used up all my panko, so that I will have to drive to the Chines grocery. Or send daughter to buy some. Mushrooms tasted bland, as champignons often do. I think I had two to get over my dislike, but all I really got was a stomach ache soon after. The rest got eaten by hubby and son, who had steak with the mushrooms. I stuck to the garlic bread, which tasted fabulous. Then we three called it a day and went for a nap. Hubby and son were off again when I woke. I did my daily sudoku plus an crossword puzzle, studied the weather forecast for today, which told us stabile weather from the afternoon on then wiped the excess of stabile weather from the floor of the upper hall. No chance that hubby will be able to clean and control the window seal during the next two weeks- it´s rain, rain, and even more rain except for tomorrow, when hubby will be at number two´s house all day long. I better put a bucket under the leak!
Not much got done concerning knitting. All I know is that the baby-blue yarn will not be enough to do the back of Matthäus´s jumper, but I have a new strategy, now let´s see if this one will work out!
And before I forget- DiL rang me yesterday evening. Or better- Cassian did so, but I did not answer the first video call, because phone was switched to silent. But he did not give up, so his mother tried again- so that he finally was able to tell me that he was bored. Very bored even. All the boys that used to be there last year are on vacation just now. They won´t go to the sea for bathing- bad water quality because of mines and carcasses (Cherson). I read about the mines, but carcasses? Seriously? They will visit DiL´s friend somewhere in the mountains. Cassian is not amused. He wants to do swimming and the like...
