 What I intended to do:
Have breakfast on the terrace (never had one outside this summer), tidy the groundfloor, prepare lunch for five adults and two children, swim in the pool. But then it was way too cool to have breakfast outside, and number one phoned, to tell us that he had to paint the fence and would come later this week. Hubby was up and off to help him, and daughter got up early and asked me, if I'd bring her to the next shopping centre beyond the boarder- that's her way to tell me that she needs some more expensive things I'd gladly pay for. No problem, her job at the airport never was a well-payed one, and having a flat, even though a tiny one, costs a lot these days. So we tidied kitchen and livingroom in record time, which turned out a blessing later, when we had made it back home again- hubby had invited an ex-colleague and her husband. Yes, the one with the ill-behaved dog I am sooo in love with. Shopping had been short but expensive: three pairs of shoes for the cooler season (one pair for me), a lot of toiletry and and and... We bought lunch at a Turkish take-away and were still enjoying it, when the guests arrived. Dog was too tired to wreak havoc- guests had come by bicycle. But it managed to snitch half of the cake. Of course, no pool time for me today. I will not share the pool water with a Portuguese water dog! No, that's a no-go for me, even though hubby thought it might be funny! Next try tomorrow afternoon- this time without dog!
