Still lazy
Sep. 28th, 2023 06:00 pm Another day gone, nothing much done... Seems that my love for knitting is returning, albeit haltingly. Now another problem comes into play- the waning light and my imperfect eyesight. At the moment I can knit and seam together between ten and twelve and in the early afternoon, if weather is fine- sunlight flooding my working desk. Working hours will shorten during fall season. But natural sunlight works wonders, I can see what I am doing! Huzzah! Less so with electric light. And probably no needlework will get done, when it´s dark and rainy outside. That´s why I am trying, I really am! Elsa´s sweater is almost done- one sleeve and a button need to get sewn on, a few threads secured. That´s all. Cassian´s sweater will be next. Haven´t secured any threads there (why are there so many?), blend around the neck is still missing. Same with the sweaters of the youngest ones. The next days weather will be fine, problem is that from tomorrow on there will be guests. Little ones, bigger ones, number four and five will be here, too, so there won´t be that much time to knit along.
But- ta-dah- I found the hidden stash of wool and sorted it into the boxes. I have to admit that I even weighed some of the balls, to decide if I wanted to keep them for further projects. No use to put up with little balls, when the smallest of the family is 88 cm already, besides, his parents would go ballistic if I did a pink sweater for him. If there´d be another smaller girl in the family I´d be able to do a twenty-shades-of-pink one. Don´t even know where all the pink yarn did come from!
Tomorrow it´s picking Flavius and Cassian up and have a play and ride afternoon- play with the dinos and cars and ride bicycles (hubby´s job). last night the poor man had to get up twice- two cars in our street that did not belong there. You see that the problem with the not lockable garage door isn´t solved yet! Third car came a minute after hubby was back to bed- this time it was our paper deliverer. She is very well allowed to get to our houses. A breakfast without paper is no breakfast at all...
