Thunderstorms ahead
Oct. 14th, 2023 05:18 pm This might turn into an interesting night- firstly hubby will stay in the guestroom with Flavius. I sent him down with sheet, duvet and pillow. Secondly weather will change from warm to cold, with thunderstorms and strong winds ahead. I have been very lazy today- my right heel is acting up again, and walking is quite painful. So I only did a bit of tidying the garden, so that things will stay inside our fence. Do we really need six watering cans? I put them and other things onto the trailer, which still blocks our carport. The garage is blocked by bicycles (big and small ones), pedal cars and other things little ones need when playing outside. The cars are without shelter, which makes hail quite interesting.
Hubby has worked on the garden wall together with son, while I did the filling for tortillas for lunch. Tortillas miraculously turned into palatschinken- hubby thought that the boys might prefer them to Mexican flat bread and started to bake a lot of them. Now he is off again, to install a new lamp to son´s tennant´s flat. DiL has once again done it - bought too many lamps. I still do not know where she gets them from, but they are pretty! She has gifted me two small ones lately. If I ever manage to paint the darn desk I will place them there and take a pic! BTW, I was carefully cleaning mum´s lamps yesterday- they seem so fragile. On the bottom I found a price label and the place of purchase- Dorotheum Vienna. They had been quite pricy- so typically not my mother to invest so much money! And daughter-in-law wanted to get rid of them!
I have watched lots of Youtube videos for tomorrow´s crafting with Cassian. We will do the mummy-fishes, mummy jars for lanterns and maybe some origami bats (oh dear, my poor fingers). I hate all the advertising you will get on YT these days. They must be in desperate need of money, since they have begun to block viewers who use adblockers. But really- one fifth of those vlogs consist of commercials- preferably the same ones for weeks, and all of them lasting 15 seconds. Do I need advertisment for Kinderschokolade in each vlog? I will gain weight only by watching!
