After a day of lazying along, daughter and I did a few adjustments to this year´s Halloween decoration- little Matthäus, though sick and grumpy, had managed to kill some of the spiders by ripping them off windows and walls, murdered one Halloween ghost lantern and destroyed the ghost cushions Cassian had made with me. I do not think he was under parental supervision then, because he must have used a chair to get up to most of the items. We hung up the last spiderwebs and put the stickers Elsa did not want to have (because she did not get the big one) on the glass doors. We also wanted to decapitate mum´s old doll and decorate with the head only, but daughter found a solution for attaching Louisa´s arms and legs again- but not today, because I am still a bit rattled. Since I got old, the switch from summer time to standard time is strenuous- I wake up at six in the morning, and by this I mean I am really awake and ready to run, but would love to retire to bed, when darkness sets in. Of course, no one retires at six in the evening, but that´s when it´s pitch-dark outside...
Tomorrow we will have Halloween take two, with family number two here for trick and treating and having spooky dinner, together with two of my friends. Friend number three might cancel, her granddaughter broke her leg two days ago, and her daughter needs help in the household. Not that much to cook this time, only a meat loaf in disguise (skull with bacon stripes), more mummy sausages and spicy bacon spread. There will be cake (lava cake done by DiL 2), there will be sweets- and hopefully one hour, when the kids will be away for trick and treating. Alas, the weather will be cold and rainy tomorrow. There might be lots of soaked little monsters on the streets!
Number three sent me some pics this morning. Elsa and Matthäus as well as their mum are at home today and tomorrow, too- no kindergarten, no day care, no work for them. At least appetite got returned to the youngest of the family. Why use a spoon, when there are fingers!

And Elsa behaves the way a princess is (not) supposed to behave- she is royally pissed off and sulking in her room all day long. She got wind of her cousins doing the trick or treat thing, while she cannot do the same. Where she lives, Halloween is considered evil. Now Elsa wants to go back to our house. She, too, needs sweets!
Tomorrow I will post the four jumpers I only found in the bedroom today- with all the hassle around I forgot to pass them on. No problem with Cassian and Flavius, who are with us quite often, but a big one with Elsa and Matthäus. Maybe a trip to St. Pölten is in order!
