Crochet war
Nov. 4th, 2023 05:25 pm I think hubby learned quite a lot of swearwords that must have been new to him during my attempts at continuing the Celtic wave. Waves of fury ran high with me, because this pattern looks nice, but is sh--- to do, especially when you already have a heavy load of crocheted throw to the left and the right, and it´s impractical to flip the thing over every four double treble crochets, to see if something´s wrong again. Believe me, there was a lot of wrong and next to nothing that was okay, hence only two rows done today. And I could not even rely on the coffee machine, because it did one of my morning coffees then went on strike again. Hubby had to make tea for himself. Well, had he gotten up at seven he might have gotten my cup. I like tea, too. Had too much coffee during day anyway, and usually switch to tea in the afternoon. Not that I´d sleep any better...
Yesterday´s wish got granted- we are back to having foehn all day, all night long, hence no more frosty nights and lots of sunshine during day. Rain again during night, but tomorrow we will be back up to 15 degrees- huzzah! I enjoyed half an jour of sunlight on the terrace, huddled in a blanket. When I came back in, husband dearest had brought all Christmas lanterns down from the attic. He thinks the house looks too blank without decoration, and Christmas is not so far away. I must say he´s right. So I exchanged the only Santa we have for a snowy fir tree I had recently bought and put this latern next to the TV. The other laterns will need more renovation work, and one is as good as dead- must have been located at the place where the water came in- rust alarm! I hope that neither number four nor five will show up the coming week- they´d have a hard time to get to their rooms! As I said, our house is a small one, and at least eight lanterns are blocking the corridor!
For half an hour I did repair work on daughter´s jumper- oh dear, I am not sure if this will work out! Or if we still have winter, when this issue will get finished... One more project I need bright sunlight to be able to work on! And lots of patience, which I do not have and never had...
The neighbour with the tiny house and the Rhodesian Ridgeback has a second dog now- a young Labrador. Their house is roughly sixty square metres, not that much room for a family of three (four in two months) and two dogs! I wonder what some people are thinking, when they get themselves a pet. Or two... especially when it´s the wife, who has to do the dog walking all the time!
This weekend is ´kill the content of the fridge´ weekend. It´s mostly because of hubby´s strange grocery shopping habits, which is yogurt, tomatoes, champignons, and even more champignons, which he stores in the fridge- in a fridge full of food he has bought for family number three´s visit, which never got eaten. I am runnig out of recipes! Husband mine laughs up his sleeve- no Indian or Korean food the next days but plain cooking, just the way he loves it!
