Sundays are boring
Nov. 5th, 2023 06:11 pm I had just done another quick cleansing of our bathrooms after getting up late (must have watched the wrong videos on Youtube), when hubby stomped to the studio and told me that number one would arrive soon, to put all the cardboard he had put into his car for disposal straight into my car. Okay, the second part hubby did not tell me, I only watched the two reloading, and then it was too late for protest. Now I understand that son cannot bring his car loaded with recycling material to the repair shop for a week, to get the hail damage repaired, but why it landed in my car will remain a mystery to me. Or husband mine has overheard a conversation with my friend, where we discussed our next trip to Germany. I need wool, I need body care products, I need my vitamin tablets (way cheaper beyond the border). We hovered between Monday and Tuesday- now it will be most likely later in the week, because hubby always takes his time to unload such things at the recycling yard.
Today husband did the cooking of lunch. The smell of sauteed onions permeated the house- all of it. And I learned that husband dearest only reads half of the recipes he finds on FB- he totally ignored the fact that the meat should have met a frying pan before going into the oven. This way the cooking process took way longer, and we had to return the meat back to the oven for the quarter of an hour.
Master chef insisted that there hadn´t been anything in the recipe about frying. I showed him the recipe he had sent me the day before- frying, of course! Nut I will not complain about my husband´s cooking skills. They will improve given time, so that he can use up what he has been buying in the shops. As
wiseheart already assumed- hubby buys what he likes to eat. As long as he does the cooking- no problem. If I don´t like it I won´t eat it. Maybe hubby has to learn the hard way...
A bit more crocheting, a bit more repair work got done, but I was not exactly enthusiastic about doing needke work today. I cleaned and rearranged the content of some of the Christmas lanterns, which was more interesting. In two weeks Xaver and Cassian will join me for a first round of decorating. And if you think that is´t´s too early for decorating- most of the Christkindl markets here will be opened then already!
