Yuck, because when I started to type this entry, I saw two thin, long legs come out from behind the monitor. When two turned into eight, I had a short panic attack, then panic turned into bloodlust, and I swiftly did away with that spider. Why will those creatures always bugger me and not hubby?
After a quiet morning, hubby and I working along without noteworthy breakdowns save the one, when I turned the spices for the Indian shorba on high and had to start anew, we did a long midday nap. Those nightly stampedes on our roof are keeping us from sleeping well. At least we know now that our visitors are on the roof and not inside the house!
Tomorrow will be a hectic day, with a former colleague of hubby visiting with her darn dog. She and hubby will prepare a Christmas present for their former conductor, who lives in Vienna now. I´m not fond of this dog, it really has bad, bad manners!
In the afternoon hubby decided to pick the boys up and bring them to a nearby Christkindlmarkt, while I brought out the new throw I started a few days ago. I was not able to continue, because my stitch count was always wrong, even if I had done those two rows four times. With hubby off I´d at least be able to swear as often and as loud as I wanted! Turned out that I wasn´t wrong at all, and that the glitch was in the instruction. I have mastered that part but quit crocheting soon after. Now all should be about Christmas, and not investing time in a throw that might get finished at Easter! I read the comments, they all say `please buy the written instruction`. If there will be more glitches it might come to this! So I made myself a cup of mulled wine, which woke my Christmas spirit. I brought the Christmas village to its new place on the desk on the upper floor, the nativity set is in the conservatory now, and it looks very festive all around. Well, almost...
Husband mine came back early, because Cassian got sick, too. Hubby barely made it to their house, before he started puking! Might not be long, and his brother will join him! So no sleepover tomorrow, which is fine with me, because I can visit a friend then. Yet I will try to do some paper stars- they really look awesome!
