Silly birds!
Jan. 23rd, 2024 07:34 pm Today I woke to loud chirping at six thirty in the morning. It was still dark outside, but we had been over zero during night, and those silly birds thought that maybe it was time to exercise for mating season! Now it´s dark again, but those darn birds did not give up until six! They are happy, they are loud, and I do not even hear the rooster giving his permanent concert anymore, so a win situation!
Our coffee maker produces a cup of coffee now and then, but most of the time it does not. Hubby ordered a new brewing group at special price of 70 Euro, because Youtube video said that this was the reason for the defect. It came this morning, just before hubby finally tried what I had asked him more than a week ago- please clean the machine with compressed air, as you have done with our old coffee makers. Well, he did now, and guess what? That thing is up and running as if new. Now can someone get me a ladder, so that I can throttle my husband? Oops, won´t work, because I can´t climb ladders without getting dizzy...
I now know that I better not do two tasks at the same time. This would have been the death of mine, when I was younger, because, you know, five children... Today I did a simultaneous cooking of lunch (mac and cheese, sort of) and a cleaning of the fridge. It worked for the most part, but then I threw the cream cheese I needed for the sauce into the organic waste bin and threw the noodles into the cheese sauce sans cream cheese without precooking them- I needed a lot of sour cream and milk to get them edible! From now on either cleaning or cooking!
I had a talk with my friend in the hospital. She will have to stay there until Friday at a minimum. She has a haematoma at the spine (inside?) and what you call Failed Back Surgery Symptom. And she has, as I have, private health insurance, which means that she will stay in hospital two to three days longer at least. And that´s why I will circumvent this surgery and get conservative treatment...
I did a bit more crocheting and came to the point, where the pattern ends- the nice lady said goodbye, will see you again at row 182 (I am at row 20!), and I will have to ponder at the beginning of each new row: Where the heck am I, do I have crossings in one, two or three places etc... I so love it! Is it too late to stop this project? Yes, it is!
