I was not at all successful at buying more wool. Okay, I got nine balls, the last ones they had, but the purveyor of the wool has not delivered in weeks, and the colour I am using is the most wanted one, so it was the first one sold out. Great, just great. There would have been a solution I did not consider when in the shop- there´s wool of a slightly darker colour of the same brand, and I could have done block stripes light grey-dark grey in the middle and the border in the lighter grey. Would have looked nice even, but I was so consternated that I left, and apparently too early, before my befuddled brain was able to think clearly again. I have the number of the shop, but all I can do is wait and hope. Said wool comes from Turkiye, maybe the purveyor brings his goods across Iraq to the Red Sea and back to Europe via Suez canal, that´s why it takes so long!
On the way back home I met one of our neighbours on the street, looking towards the sky. When I asked him if he was waiting for the strong winds which were said to arrive in the afternoon, he told me that he only was waiting for his wife. So you are awaiting a tornado, I answered. I think I have made myself a brandnew enemy. But said lady is like a tornado, where she is, not much is standing upright, she blows everything apart! BTW, we got strong winds, but not that much- in the beginning! It´s only that some people will ignore all warning, like husband dearest. Just now I heard a loud bang in the garden- all our garden chairs are now spread over the lawn, because he deliberately forgot to carry the stack to the back of the house, because we never get winds so strong.
