Family feuds looming? I hope not...

 Two thirds of the Hobbit is better than none- hubby came back from concert early. At the request of subscribers, the concerts of this series will all start at seven in the evening. Public transport here is not the best, busses every fifteen minutes during day and twenty starting with 7:30. If you are lucky, concert will take place in the Festspielhaus, with a huge parking garage inside the mountain, which offers reduced parking fees. You won´t freeze on your way to the car, no matter how late the concert will end. Hubby always parks in the garage and storms to his car afterwards. Yesterday he came into the livingroom, sat down on the sofa and began to study the TV programme. The dwarfs hadn´t yet made it out of Laketown, when he found a Tatort which he thought did fit to the time of carnival way better, so he switched the programme. Lection learned- hubby does not like hobbity films. He prefers to see crime films, even if he´s seen the one I am writing about thrice at least. So I snatched my throw and went up to the studio, turned my TV on- and found that the broadcaster I needed was not saved on my list. Damn! To say that I was miffed is an understatement. Besides, next week it will be the Battle of the Five Armies I want to watch, so either son or daughter will have to show me how to put broadcaster on my list during the weekend. Daughter has planned a Hobbit-LotR marathon with me for a long time. The plans always failed, because we do not know where to house hubby in the meantime. If we will watch in the living room, hubby will feel offended, because he can´t have his favourite programmes. If we watch upstairs, he will feel compelled to go to bed early, and we will have to discontinue. There´s still no door between studio and bedroom thanks to hubby refusing to install one!
Not much got done today save cleaning and crocheting. Weather is not rainy, but way cooler than expected, so working in the garden is even less fun than usual. For the first time since aeons I did a shopping list- mostly things for raising vegetables. Even might try my luck on cucumbers this year! Raising cucumbers means war against snails here. Let´s see who will win this year!
Hubby was at number one´s house at lunch time, so I did not cook but did a raid of our fridge- found grounded hazelnuts and almonds, roasted them together with coconut flakes and dried cranberries, put it over Schupfnudeln and sugared it nicely- and it tasted good, really good, even though I had a stomachache afterwards- now you know why I am not fond of sweet things!
In the early evening my friend called- doctors have once again found blood in her vertebral canal, that´s why she was in pain. Once the blood got removed she felt okay. I hope there won´t be a repeat. Doc told her that this could happen during a period of five to six weeks after the surgery- this time is over now! We have lots of pre-Easter preparations to do, together, if possible...
