Third day in a row...
Feb. 7th, 2024 08:05 pm ...that I was up early and fully functional, even though I did not yet have the first coffee, which usually makes my day. I had done the sudoku of the day, before hubby joined me for breakfast. Hubby rushed out of the house to Aldi, to get new pyjamas for grandsons, who both will have a sleepover at our house. Came back without pyjamas- I will have to teach my husband to read those leaflets we get more carefully- those pyjamas will get sold from tomorrow on only. At least, it was a nice way for him to spend the morning! Meanwhile I did some cleaning then crocheting then cleaning again, before I had enough of domestic duties and took my car and was off to bank and pharmacy. It took me twice as long as usual, because police trainees did a road check, and reversing was neigh impossible. The only good thing that came with covid is the electronic recipe. No more driving to the doctor´s office and pick your prescriptions up at the doctor´s assistant. At the bank I searched my handbag for my bank card while watching a man looking through the sparcely shaded window of the counter hall, mobile in hand as if filming. He noticed that he was watched and swiftly climbed into the car next to me, where a lady was waiting, and drove off. When I passed by the same window, I saw that with a bit of practice one could easily get the pin of a bank card. Next step: Get hold of the card... I think I am watching crime films too often!
Not much got done after lunch. While I did a bit of reading hubby started a prolonged nap. He thought that maybe lunch had unsettled his digestive system- sorry, but our food comes straight out of the freezer these days, because hubby is still in need of more space for the last batch of bacon. So not my fault, if husband mine eats too many convenience products, because it was not me who bought them. I vividly remember husband telling me that those were for the days number four was at our house and needed an after-midnight snack. At six husband was off for a concert, and I had a very long phone call with a friend. And now it´s down to the living room. No, no crime story for me on TV today but the Hobbit. People do not like the movies, mostly those, who read the book. I say that the movies are epochal- never before a small, nice but definitely not smashing children´s??? book got puffed up to three epic masterpieces, all in excess length. That´s true cinematic art :)))
