Yay! Washing day!
Feb. 21st, 2024 07:37 pm Since hubby redid the guestroom (he and Flavius had made a mess of it when sleeping in there) he also stripped the bed, and and I did strip ours- three sets of bedding make half a filling, the minimal quantity I need for being inclined to turn the washing machine on. Laundry got hung onto the clothes horse and will hopefully increase air moisture- 39 percent is definitely not high enough, hubby´s as well as my mouth feel as if covered with sanding paper. For lunch I did more sugo than usual- I love the combination of tuna, anchovies, olives and capers. I also cooked more noodles- 220 instead of 170 gram. The outcome was pretty frustrating- even though cooked longer than usual we had one portion each, and it was not even a big one! There´s plenty of sugo left now, which in hindsight is a good thing, because hubby forgot to tell me that he´d do a test drive to a restaurant not far away and pick up a Too Good To Go bag, which would have meant no cooking tomorrow. But now number three will do an overnight stay, dinner included. With the bag, today´s sugo and freshly cooked noodles we might get by...
After a thorough cleaning of spiderwebs around the skylight window in the upper hallway and a spider hunt afterwards - two of the beasts had made themselves comfortable there but took flight at the first sounds of the vacuum cleaner- I began the most important task of today, which was weeding the vast number of DVDs and Blu Rays. I will only keep the classics. I noted that some of them are missing- I possess volume five to eigth of the Potter series, but the first four parts are missing. I will have to take a look at Amazon Prime video, if those are on their playlist at the moment. If not, I will have to write to my offspring, if they are still in possession of my Potter DVDs. If they are lost forever, my agenda is buy new ones. I also need Two new Towers, which also took flight. One Narnia movie still here- rest missing. Shreks have died out, I miss them dearly. All those movies missing must be housed at number one to three. Four and five do not even posess a TV to watch. There´s considerable more free space on the shelves now- time to get new books! Now when and where´s the next flea market I can bring the DVD´s to?
