This is madness

Daughter just made a proposal: Before we will do a TV session beginning with Hobbit 1-3 and all three parts of LoTR, extended editions, what else, we should do a Harry Potter revival. You cannot revive what you haven´t seen, and all I have seen of the films was part one to four, and only, because daughter had been too young then to get access to the movie without parental chaperon. Harry Potter did not win me over then, even though I love magic, myths and fantasy in general. I even loved Star Wars, but only the old movies. Not even if Christopher Lee, whose thespian abilities I loved very much and still do, had danced naked (okay, with a loincloth maybe) in the later films I would have been interested. Parts four to six (former one to three) are fantasy, the rest is science fiction. Even George Lucas knew this! Aside from daughter having a lot of work to do for her exam- how does she think the two of us will be able to spend so much time in front of the big TV in the living room, without 1) hubby 2) her nephews interfering? That girl must put a lot of faith into her endeavour!
During night I woke three times, because the rain was hammering hard against the blinds, which I hate, because I will have very disturbing dreams then. And in the early morning I almost had a heart attack, when I looked at the dormer window and saw a vampire watching me.

Turned out that hubby had removed only the outer clamps he needs to fasten the black blanket to the handles of the window, when Cassian is our guest. Now the hanging blanket indeed looked like a vampire, albeit a small one. Darn, can I please have nice things to look at?
I think I will need to buy a new tablet PC. Not that mine is that old, but as of now it starts to show signs of wear- it´s hard to turn it on (or off), the screen begins to flicker with increasing frequency, and it´s dreadfully slow when I want to start a search in the WWW. I did a lot of the things recommended by users more adept than I am to get it going again. It worked a bit, but now we are back to the beginning of the problem. Hubby is just looking for a new one- he wants the old one for himself, so that he can read his e-books. If I really will buy me a new one, I will have to end the tablet´s connection to my kindle account. One time I forgot to do so and sent daughter off to school skiing course, with all my books readable for her. The next day I got the message "Mum, where have you got this book from? That´s definitely not for girls!" She had found her way into The Eternal Dungeon, which had been a free e-book then, and yes, it definitely was no reading meant for girls this age! I still do not get it that there seems to be no way to make a private reading list be readable only after using a password!
