Carbonara

 Wednesday is the day when Cassian will eat with us then go to his swimming lesson. Hubby thought that Wurstnudeln he´d like to eat. Unfortunately he brought the package with frozen pancetta from the freezer- pancetta I had bought for Spaghetti carbonara, only too much of it. So spaghetti Carbonara it was, and this time I chased hubby out of the kitchen- last time he had turned the heat on, when I had left the kitchen for maybe a minute. We had sort of scrambled eggs with pancetta and noodles then. Since then I put up the rule it´s either him or me doing the cooking. Problem is that husband mine is very stubborn...
After lunch grandson and I watched Monster Trucks- Snape- Monster Trucks for half an hour. This boy is very besotted with that video clip and awaiting the day he gets five years old- old enough to view the first Potter film with me- in case I am able to get my hands on Blu rays which show the films in English and German. No such luck on Amazon until now! Number three wants to send over Elsa, so that the young ones can sit together in awe. I am more concerned about Cassian- like most boys he is playing ghosts and monsters with his friends but turns into a chicken shit when it´s getting dark outside. How I love my daughter, who had watched all episodes of LotR at the age of four. She is the most courageous of all of my children!
BTW, Cassian and I finished the last of the Easter decoration today. I am so fed up with decorating for this year! Other people, too, as it seems. I have been at two friends, one neighbour and DiL number two and three- each of them still had a few remnants of Christmas decoration in the house, but next to no spring- and Easter decor. At least the weather seems to stay mild until the end of month! Maybe we can let the grandchildren do a search for Easter eggs and small presents in the grden. Would be nice after most Easter Sundays gone by with rain, or worse, snow, especially after winters too warm! Besides, neighbour who always wreaks havoc on Sundays is the first to complain when other people are at it before he is ready to start! Currently hubby and I are trying to disentangle the stream of Easter visitors: number three Thursday to Saturday, number one Easter Monday, number two Easter Sunday, but still no news about number four. Number five will come and go as she likes it- as always!
