Tour du jour
Mar. 14th, 2024 05:33 pm Make one out of two hubby thought and bought a second-hand food slicer- for twenty Euro only. As I told you once, ours was a bit out of shape and made horrendous sounds when forced to cut. Sounds that were so gruesome that daughter stopped watching HP until she had found the culprit- the mixture of that and the film itself were, let´s say, disturbing. To get the food slicer I had to bring my husband to Salzburg- a town no one wants to drive into but many still do. Vendor and hubby met at the museum the lady works in, and I did a nice tour across the town and back. It took us more than two hours until we got back home again- the place I had to drop hubby is barely fifteen kilometres away, the purchase was done in a few minutes, only I was coming back late because of traffic jam!
No cooking again, but what was left of spaghetti Carbonara turned into the dreaded spaghetti with scrambled eggs. I told you that my husband is resistant when it comes to learning. To hide his fail he even decided to put a fried egg on top of the disaster. I would have laughed out loud if my stomach wasn´t acting up today, and the smell of eggs is not my favourite one...
I did more searching for a nice summer jumper for Elsa, but still found none. I think I will go to the H&M online shop and look what they have. Or Zara maybe... In the afternoon I did three drabbles and found that I must be on the depressive side at the moment. It´s spring here, it´s warm, the sun is shining, and I write about death and decay. I really should turn to more cheering literature! It´s all my sister´s fault- it´s mostly the books she brings I am reading. This evening I will make a visit to a neighbour. Yesterday we had football on TV. Today it´s football again. Even though I like to watch now and then- two nights in a row is too much for me!
Still haven´t heard a peep from number four and five. Our Easter might get a bit interesting, if the two will show up without warning. Especially number four´s room might be crowded then- our house is a small one!
I am so waiting for daylight saving time. I am way behind with knitting squares for the windows- though the squares are mostly finished, it´s the triangles which are sadly missing- and the light from outside is waking me earlier each day! Well, I will survive two more weeks, at least I hope so!
