Mar. 16th, 2024 06:12 pm I pottered along the house the whole morning, doing a bit of this and a bit of that, but honestly, I lacked the willingness of doing something utile. At least I managed to put a big box of odds and ends together for next week´s fleamarket of our church- a few things less in the house I will have to dust and less kitchen utensils in the drawers! Around midday I continued working on In Noctem. And finally found out how to write two voices into one stave. T´was about time! Not that I will turn into a turbo writer now, but still!
After a short after-lunch rest I decided to treat the fruit trees with another dose of plant protection agent. It was warm, the sun was shining, and there should be rain from tomorrow on only. It began to rain half an hour later- so much about precise weather forecast! Never takes long here for a change of weather! I think there will be a repeat next week...
Hubby bought three more quinces. Apparently he has taken a liking to this fruit. This time I will do stewed quinces. Husband mine drove off in the afternoon to do a visit to number one. I think he is about to invite him for Easter dinner. My hope is that son has already booked a vacation in a Kinderhotel. Not that I do mind having family at our small house, but I do not like it crowded. I thought that it was clear that they´d show up on Easter Monday only, but hubby seems to have other plans, as always!
Today I heard a first peep of daughter since more than a week- she seems to be alive and well, and I am to proof-read her thesis next week. Haha, not totally unexpected, because I have done so with their brothers´, too. Finally something interesting on my to-do list!
