Not the best night I had, with neighbour´s Rhodesian Ridgeback out of the house and barking like mad at four in the morning, and I spending the night with confusing dreams, like young people dressed in Hogwarts´s student uniforms waiting for a bus that would bring them to a gardening shop, where they got killed one after another. Plus there was that tracker dog which looked straight out from a Barneby the younger-show- I think Sykes was the dog´s name then. In my dream it was Lily. That made a fine combination HP- The posecutor- Last trace Berlin. I was so confused that I got up at seven, had breakfast then dressed for shopping. Now I am the proud owner of two brand-new magazines showing pictures of plants, gardens and seasonal recipes, most of them with asparagus. Besides, the shop next to the newsagency selled minced beef, seasoned for doing cevapcici. The boss of the meat section hails from Croatia and does the seasoning himself. I so love it, because he puts allspice into the seasoning mix! Then I raced home because of Cassian and Flavius and a husband who now and then forgets that having children in the house requires watching them. Needless to say, for lunch it was cevapcici and djuvec rice. And after a long after-lunch nap the boys got brought back home by hubby. We´ll meet again tomorrow!
I did more quick decluttering of the book shelves then. My goal is to get rid of outdated astronomy books (found three) and fantasy literature that does meet my expectations (found five books), so that my Tolkien collection does not have to pile up anymore.
Otherwise I spent a lot of time in the living room watching TV. Living room is a very cosy place at the moment with the wood burner roaring. It is three degrees outside, but mercifully no snow yet. I sincerely hope it will stay this way. But my bigger fear is that temperatures during night will go below zero, because that will mean another year without apples, mirabelles and quinces. And, of course, cornel cherries! I did not know until now that the fruit-to-be is more prone to cold than the blossom. And all trees have finished blossoming already!
BTW: Daughter has postponed her visit for tomorrow. Hubby had to freeze what was left of lunch, which means that some day I won´t have to cook lunch... yesss!
