Hilarious!

 I love it, when daughter is here for a visit. She enjoys the meals with us, she loves the jigsaws and the crossword puzzles. But today´s goal was de-mothify her room. She did work hard chasing the way of moths- cleared her wardrobes, gave a lot of things away, cleaned the shelves, did spray them with anti-bug spray, afterwards only one third of the content made it back into the wardrobes. Next to no moths in her clothes. Then she did control the boxes with her plush toys- more moths there, but no cocoons. When she pulled out the guest plaids, we knew where the beasts had come from. Strange- not a bit of wool in them, no moth holes, but lots of cocoons. Plaids are in the bin now, and because the seat daughter had in her room was too big and too pink, this one got also disposed of.
After daughter and I had dragged the carpet to the carport for a good beating and airing, we decided to call it a day and had coffee and cookies while doing a crossword puzzle. That was when Alexa came into play- daughter asked her to name some old instruments starting with the letter D. Alexa´s answer was Trommel, Daxophone, Hackbrett (hammered dulcimer- this one at least has a D), Kontrabassflöte (contrabass flute) and Hackbrett again. Needless to say that this made our day, especially the Daxophone! Hubby did not believe it, so daughter asked Alexa again- same answer. My belly still hurts from all the laughing! No clue who feeds all this nonsense to the poor device, or if Alexa is simply hard of hearing...
Tomorrow it´s Aldi in the early morning, then pick Cassian and Flavius up because hubby said that it is not fair to choose the older boy only (even he is the one whose birthday is near and he is to pick a present at Smyths Toys) then to Ikea for lunch- yuck, but Cassian and Flavius will love it!
