That doesn´t figure!
May. 7th, 2024 05:55 pm Hubby is in a concert every second week. Then again, his hearing problem is getting worse- maybe a souvenir of his time working in an orchestra. Not for nothing the musicians had to wear ear protection! Yesterday evening we had a thunderstorm, a very impressive one. The window panes were rattling at the loud claps of thunder. When I went down from the studio, our TV was rumbling, and poor, half-deaf hubby had not even noticed what had been going on outside. Ow! Ouch! This begs for a hearing aid!
Today was one of those days when I´d have loved to sleep in- wet and grey in the morning, and colder than the last two days. Plus I had forgotten to shut the bathroom window, so the cold got invited into the house. Yet I woke early, got up early and did the family breakfast we usually have on Sundays- our fridge is a storing place for bacon and eggs at the moment. Then I sent hubby out to buy more moth traps and moth paper. Meanwhile I browsed through number four´s wardrobe. I found exactly nothing that would explain the sudden moth explosion. I wiped the wardrobe out then used bug spray for good measure. Tomorrow daughter will come, together we will sort out her clothes- two full wardrobes and some boxes. Pretty sure that in one of them I will find the moth nest!
Husband mine insisted on having chilli-cheese Leberkäse for lunch. Oh boy, that was spicy! And if it´s me who says so, then it´s spicy, indeed! No I am waiting for my stomachache to reappear. I am pretty sure that darn thing won´t miss the opportunity to annoy me once more!
From early afternoon on weather got frustrating again, and at the moment it is raining cats and dogs. Good for vegetation, bad on the eyes and the electricity bill- lights had to get turned on at four. Hmm- in a good month we will have the longest days of the year, and now lights on at four already? Oh dear, I will get depressed soon enough at the loss of daylight, I better not start now!
