May. 26th, 2024 03:49 pm ...because it´s Harry Potter time in the afternoon. I was not able to watch the movie yesterday evening- well, I could have, up in the studio, but that would have given me a stiff neck, because the TV is on a cupboard. Hubby was set hard on watching the German football cup end game, which lasted two thirds of the HP I had wanted to see. To say that I was miffed is an understatement. So today four o´clock in the afternoon it is. Maybe you will remark that i have seen the film already. Yes, I have, in English only, and now I need to watch it in German to understand the dialogues I have missed (my Blu-rays do not have the option German). Next week same game- Football against HP, and I am pretty sure I know the winner. If daughter will come to watch, we will send husband to the studio, so that he can work on his own crick in the neck. At least family number three will be off then, so that the TV sets can run at proper (=higher) volume. With Matthäus and Elsa in the house we would have to do deaf-aid shopping. Strange that children that loud need a setting that silent for sleeping!
Hubby has done his daily cycling tour in the morning, while I did housework and turned the washing machine on- we need four freshly washed sets of bedding for our guests! First rain came at twelve. The bedding hung for drying made it back into the house just in time. I am trying out a new recipe for today´s lunch- meatballs with asparagus in creamy sauce and mashed potatoes. Hubby is definitely not interested in helping. Probably his mum did not serve the dish...
BTW, fire brigade show was a big success. Hubby was there with number two and the boys. Mummy, whom I supposed was packing the suitcases, was off from Friday till Sunday morning- she did not want to miss the yearly ´works´ outing with her friends. While hubby was picking up grilled chicken and chips for them, number two stayed at the table to order the drinks. He must have been very occupied to get the waitress over, because when he had a look at his offspring he was minus one child- Flavius had wandered off to explore the show on his own. They found him sitting on a police offers lap, who had been fervently trying to make the boy tell him his name, which is essential to trace the parents. Flavius was as silent as a grave. And Cassian very, very jealous afterwards, because his younger brother had been allowed into the police car, to even operate the police siren. Now I wonder if he already ponders to to the same stunt at the next feast!
