...at the airport today. Eurowings sent a smaller plane than planned. Wait, planned is not the correct expression. They sent a plane, where 18 people were not able to board, even though they already had valid boarding tickets. Only that those rows in the plane were missing. Those eighteen people plus the twelve, which made 30 people who were not able to get to Berlin in time to see the football match, were extremely furious. No wonder, many of them had payed 500 euro for their ticket, and now this! Airport police had to be called, to bring the most rioting outside and maybe give them a chance to get to Munich airport and take the three o´clock flight to Berlin from there. To say that daughter was not amused was an understatement. Apparently this day was the day of the extremely stupid air travelers. Twice passengers had left a shuttle bus to their plane to make it to the wrong one on foot. Only the alertness of the staff kept the delays within bounds. Yes, it´s hot, but not that hot that a brain can fry...
Otherwise it was a quiet day- hubby got up early, prepared breakfast for the both of us then did a first round of watering the plants. I came down from the bedroom soon after. The new trick does serve me well- on days I have to get up this early I will hide my tablet PC in one of the drawers in my work table. This way I won´t be tempted to start reading if I wake too early. Since then I can take a tour de loo but will drift off again afterwards instead of staying awake reading. Until now this works perfectly. Much appreciated, since daughter sent me her duty roster for July- eleven early shifts, that means getting up every third day at three in the morning. Since the two colleagues living near her will be on vacation in July there´s only a slight chance that she will be able to get a drive to the airport with one of them :((
In the afternoon we picked Xaver up, to buy a birthday present together with him- soon six years old he can decide what he wants and not have his parents pick it out. Funny that our next grandchild is on a Pokemom trip now...
After a last swim I did some more rows on Elsa´s top. Still not sure if I will finish it, even though it looks quite nice. Then I packed up and went up to the studio. No football for me today, though I reckon that come nine o´clock hubby will switch to it. The last week I haven´t been able to watch a single movie to the end...
BTW: We won. That makes it even harder for those who did not make it to Berlin...
