It was a hot sunny day...
Jul. 6th, 2024 07:03 pm ...which is not true at all. I got up early, because I wanted to spend my day of resting on the terrace, under a sun shade next to the pool. I prepared dinner for the guests we will have in the evening- chicken satay and vegetables from the oven plus galic bread, to have plenty of time to recuperate from having to get up so early. But then it was as always- it was hot at some point, but the sun tarried until it was afternoon, and now it´s already becoming overcast again- we are in for another thunderstorm.
Hubby was off to work at son´s house in the late morning while I did more daily chores and even cleaned the pool- okay, most of the work got done by the pool robot, but there´s a lot of places this one won´t reach, like the stairs into the water and the pool edge. Water is back to relatively low temperatures, no wonder considering the cold days we have had recently! Neighbour´s cat is odd- she drinks pool water, which in our case is salt water. At least she has shown up again today- yesterday it was a constant calling and box rattling from the top of neighbour´s winding stair case- and it did not stop until midnight! One day, my dear...
Number four is laughing his head off- it´s hotter in St. Pölten, he has an aircon plus a brandnew pool, and he loves it. While we have both here, too, we won´t need it as often as he does this year. People living in the west get the Schubert end of the stick this summer. Not fair! Tomorrow we will be back to under twenty degrees again, while the east will bask in the sun. At least we won´t have guests for pool bathing then. Not that number one would come anyway, his family in seclusion. They will be off for vacation in a week, and DiL 1 does not want her children catch some germs when meeting their cousins. You can bet that said cousins will already be at our house for swimming when the weather is fine. Son number two has additional work to do in July, and there´s no kindergarten for Cassian until school will start again- that´s what you get when don´t opt for a regular job...
