T´was a moderately hot day with 31 degrees only, plus it seems the last one with a 3 in front for a while. Temperatures are going down, we´ll have two more days below 20, so it seems. Seven sleepers day´s prophecy of a patchy summer seems to be accurate.
Hubby had to do janitor duties for sister mine in the morning then drove back home and stayed there for the rest of the day. Wonders will never cease! No wonder, poor old man suffers from a muscle hangover of epic proportions. All that cycling won´t help when you are not used to downhill wandering, and that´s what he had to do yesterday, to get his mobile back.
Not much housework got done today- it was warm on the brink of hot, but extremely humid. I wiped the tiles on the ground floor- it took more than half an hour before it dried up. The laundry on the drying rack is still wet, even though we hung it up in the morning. Not exactly the type of weather I am fond of! The people working at neighbour´s house have put plastic sheets to protect the walls from oncoming rain- they have started to buff the walls this afternoon. Only that the storm that came before the next thunderstorm has ripped post of the plastic sheets off. My hope is that those won´t end up at the main street, obstructing the drivers´ view. At the moment it´s still behind the garden fence, but who knows for how long!
Darn! I hate those thunderstorms! Electricity was just off for a few minutes. I hope that this won´t happen again during the football match this evening, or I might throw a fit. That´s the first game I will watch by my own choice!
