For more than one week I have been able to keep our house free of family number two, which is the most demanding of the three families. Today my luck ended- DiL brought Cassian and Flavius for an extended visit, while she was off shopping then came back moping along, before she finally came down to the crucial question- when will we allow her offspring to stay overnight. Tomorrow will be her birthday, there will be guests, and said guests will want to see Cassian and Flavius. And on Saturday daughter mine will reappear, because Sunday is her next early shift, and I don´t do child care when I have to get up at three in the morning, waking those who will be up and running way too early anyway. So on Friday the two will come before nap time. DiL wants them to stay in our marital bed and hubby take the guestbed. Heaven knows who gave her this idea, but I will definitely not cope with two young boys and let hubby sleep the sleep of the just. Bad enough that I have to do the plaything with them and husband mine has to bribe them with sweets!
Amazon Prime days are practically over- hubby has ordered a new tablet PC for himself, new headphones for son- and the Phantastic Beasts series for me- whoot! Finally new stuff to watch, staff I intended to watch on Amazon Prime TV , but they sorted the movies out too quickly for me. Since i always tend to do things in reverse, I had started with the third movie and never got to know the whole background story.
The problem with the boys in the house is that now me meeting a friend of mine will have to be postponed again. I do not think that she will be ready to bother with two young men in the process of turning our household upside down! She is very happy that her own grandchildren are more or less safe in Cape Town the next weeks. One does not cast out devils by Beelzebub!
I hate this summer! Today we got twenty degrees (finally) in the afternoon but are back to 18 again. Cat is here again- she tends to hide on warmer days but wants in when it´s cool and rainy, which happens so often thie summer worse than the summers of old. To achieve this cat lady always brings me mice, scratches at the window and shows us her prey- and devours it during night. Hubby had to sluice the mat once again. At the moment cat is napping on our couch, next to hubby reading on his ancient ebook reader. Well, as long as they are both content with their life..
