My brain is deaf

 The torture started at seven in the morning, when the next workers at neighbour's house sailed in in a flurry. This was okay, neighbour will want to live in peace and quiet, too, after renovation will hopefully be finished soonest, and plan was that the whole thing with the walls should have been done at the end of last week! Alas, this did not work out, so today was the day when the walls got rendered. With the help of compressed air. Oh my! My ears are still ringing! And I complained about the noise of hubby inflating my pool seat yesterday, which took maybe five minutes, because our compressor is tiny and old! work will continue tomorrow- in the afternoon it got stopped by more storm and a downpour of epic proportions. It was raining so hard that I was barely able to see neighbour´s house. Workers had fled from the scaffold and called it a day. Fire sirens were going off all around, many of them I was able to locate at the opposite bank of the Salzach, the river next to us. I do hope that son´s house got spared- they have a small rivulet next to their house which can swells up when it rains too much too quickly. Not that son would notice at the moment- he is on vacation. Then again, he has video surveillance all over the house!
Hubby had to pick daughter up at the bus station, or she´d get dripping wet on her way to our house. Back home he had to pump water out of the pool- a new favourite of him this year thanks to the volatile weather we have. But hubby loves to be busy all day long. Me not so much, especially at such a sticky weather- twenty degrees only, but the moment I start with a task I am sweat-soaked. So I only managed to declutter two drawers in the kitchen after lunch (double cooked pork with vegetables and rice). Then I called it a day, too, and went up to the studio and did research for a new cutlery tray. Hard to get one with those odd measurements...
