Oh that cat!
Aug. 30th, 2024 06:39 pm Cat's owner is in England to visit her sister. The last days cat has shown up only now and then, because cat-owner had confined her pet to her house, to show where Schnuckele is supposed to spend her day. Yesterday cat came and went again, had her after-lunch nap in our living room, did snitch a piece of meat strudel and felt completely at home at our house. Since there had been a lot of ruckus going on in our garden the night before hubby installed the wildlife camera once again. He also put a bowl with cat food on the terrace. When we had a look at the photos we found that cat had eaten the kibbles and replaced it with a mouse. Came back later and put another mouse next to the first one. The animal which had done the ruckus was not detected by the camera. Next try today!
The day was chaotic, as always, when the boys are here, and even more so, since it was 32 degrees and Cassian was allowed into the pool while Flavius was not- his leg is still in some sort of splint. DiL brought the boys early and only then told us that both had been sick with gastric flu, so no sweets for them. When none of them had puked until afternoon hubby gave them cake and fruit juice. Our house, our rules. We don't have sweets or chocolate in the house, so neither Cassius nor Flavius will get a sugar shock. One thing has definitely not worked out to hubby's liking: The boys will get picked up at ten tomorrow, and I won't have to do the cooking, because family number two is off to an exhibition of a (Romanian, what else) paintress. A last day for frolicking in and around the pool for me, from now on temperatures will be gradually dropping and rain will be back in a few days. Not that the daily plant watering rallye has been fun- the water drum is only hslf full with water but swarming with mosquito grubs! No wonder that we have so many of the bloody things in the house- last night I got so mad, because some of them were swarming around me. Must have killed one or two half asleep- needed a new pillow case because of the blood stains!
