Hubby wasn´t even back from Munich for more than ten minutes when he was already calling for a backup for today- and daughter-in-law number two willingly complied to bring her offspring, so that she was able to continue her hunt for moths and mold. I wish her success- Cassian so misses his bed, which is still strewn with the content of their wardrobe. The boys do love to use the pool, so I was not unhappy to give them a last chance of frolicking in the still warm water. Cassian and Flavius were also great helpers with doing today´s lunch- pasta and meatballs. Today I put some lovage into the minced meat, which is not so common in our part of the country- but the boys love the taste of it. Hubby not so much, though I think I remember the bottle with Maggi on the Kitchen table of his home. I do not think we ever had Maggi in the house. There´s a first for everything- DiL brought her offspring sharp and managed to pick them up in time even. Wow indeed!
The rest of the evening got spent with lazing about in the house- it had been fairly warm today (31, yay, we finally did it!) but I did not want to turn the aircon on to cool down the bedroom. Problem was that our farmers must have read the weather forecast, which talked of thunderstorms in the late afternoon, so they began to spread liquid manure on the fields. Means that windows better get kept closed for a while. Of course, the thunderstorms never came, at least not until I went down to the living room to watch TV. So it´s either a slightly elevated electricity bill or a smelly bedroom. I think I will opt for the former!
Tomorrow I will have to do a trip over the border to Aldi Germany- I am no more ready to pay the higher prices in our country, no matter how hard they are trying to make us shop inside Austria. It´s always the same excuses- either the branch density which affords higher prices or the darn mountains, which by the way are higher in the German part of this region. Then there´s also Aldi´s larger selection of goods that speaks volumes...
