See you next summer
Sep. 8th, 2024 07:36 pm Hubby was in full say-goodbye-to-summer mode all day long, while daughter and I had some last hours in the pool. Sunshine did shun us- sky was clouded from morning on. At least it was still warm. Most of the gadgets keeping the pool water clear and disinfected are cleaned and brought to the cellar, as are the pool noodles and inflatable toys. Weather forecast gets worse with each passing days. Who needs a five in the morning in September? Do we have to bring the winter clothing out? The cold spell will last longer than one day!
Daughter and I did make quite some progress with the jigsaw puzzle. Now we are at the crucial part- those pieces left are either completely white or have tiny parts of letters on them. Imagine two words (harmonische Orchesterpause- what a lie!) written again and again, in differnt styles and different sizes, often changing within the word. And I even found a misspelling!
I am the one who has to get up at three in the morning to bring daughter to work today. In compensation hubby will get up at seven and drive to number one´s house to bring Oscar to his new school. Number one has to go to Vienna, and the boy´s mum has to accompany Xaver on his first day of school. I do not even want to remember the days when our offspring were at school. But since tomorrow will be a rainy day and both hubby and I will suffer from sleep deprivation there´s surely a lazy day ahead!
